OVERVIEW
Anyone with an Axial SCX-10 who needs more ground clearance knows that installing longer shocks raises up the chassis, but the axle clearance remains the same. You could go to larger wheels and tires to gain a little bit of room under the axle housings, but you can only go so big before your rig starts looking like a monster truck. We have a different solution to add more axle clearance – install our Hi-Lift Gearbox Front Conversion Kit. The kit includes two Billet-machined alloy gearboxes that attach to the ends of your front axle. These gearboxes offset the drive axles downward to add extra axle housing clearance. With this method you don’t have to change your suspension linkages or shocks and risk having high center Drive Shaft angles. Our conversion kit comes in black, gunmetal, or silver color schemes and includes the gearboxes, new ball bearings, new drive axles, and a new steering linkage.
