OVERVIEW
The FMS 1/24 FCX24 Unimog 421 is a scale-realistic machine that features a high-performance crawler chassis underneath. The molded nylon frame is strong yet lighter than traditional metal ladder-type frames. A mid-mounted powertrain provides a low center of gravity, and features a 2-speed transmission, transfer case and 130-size motor. Motor power is sent to the front and rear solid axle housings through universal drive shafts. The axle housings feature a portal design that increases ground clearance for better off-road capability. Suspension is a tried and true 4-link type design, and steering is handled by a metal-gear servo.

To match the chassis performance, the FCX24 is topped with a super scale realistic Unimog 421 body set. Officially licensed by Daimler-Benz AG, this 1/24 scale replica features a pre-finished body with a realistic grille, side mirrors, air snorkel, headlights and roof warning lights, and a functioning hood that opens up to reveal the battery and access to the RC electronics. Transparent windows allow a good view of the scale realistic interior, with its replica dashboard, seats, and interior. Finally, a remotely controlled LED lighting system completes the realistic functions.
