OTA-R31RS Street Jam 1/10 Drift 3 Belt Chassis Kit 260 Wheelbase

OVERVIEW
Street Jam’s latest 1/10-scale RC drift machine is the OTA-R31RS. With a front-mid motor layout and 3-belt drive system, the R31RS is ready to slide, with a drift-specific design (not just a converted touring car platform with drift tires!) and an extensive feature list that all competitive drifters can build upon.

Features:

Weight Distribution
Positioning the motor and battery pack in line with the chassis allows for a near perfect side-to-side weight distribution. With the motor positioned behind the front differential, handling and suspension tuning is more consistent since the bulk of the weight is sitting in between the four wheels. The forward mounting still gives the R31RS a forward weight bias needed for high-speed, high powered drifting, without overloading the front end for a more consistent drift, regardless of if you’re running 50/50 or a counter-steer setup.

Steering
The R31RS features an extended steering angle that is required for drifting, thanks to the design of the front arms, blocks, and hub carriers. Caster and Ackermann are adjustable, as is the usual camber and toe-angle found in all performance-spec chassis.

Drivetrain
The inline belt drive system sends power and braking force parallel to the R31RS chassis. This means there is no uneven torque steer that is inherent on center shaft-driven competitors. Easily accessible drive pulleys give the driver the option of running 50/50 (even power to the front and rear wheels) or ‘CS’ counter-steer style simply by changing the pulley sizes to over drive the rear wheels. The spur gear can be quickly changed for ratio tuning without any extra disassembly. The spur gear mount is compatible with any standard 48-pitch or 64-pitch spur gears.

Suspension
The base of the R31RS’s suspension components center around the four coil over shocks. Each shock features upgraded aluminum alloy shock bodies that are threaded for quick pre-load adjustment. Their oil-filled design is competition spec, as is the multiple shock mounting points on the front and rear shock towers. Camber and front toe is adjustable via standard turnbuckle links.

Tune and Upgrade to Your Specifics
Because the R31RS is based on Street Jam’s successful and widely popular R31 platform, there are already hundreds of upgradeable options available. These options include (but are not limited to) carbon fiber double-deck chassis, carbon fiber shock towers, aluminum alloy bulkheads and chassis components, aluminum alloy steering linkage, aluminum alloy hubs and blocks, titanium complete chassis screw sets, and more. Also, you can tune the R31RS even more with Street Jams numerous tuning parts, such as different spring sets, caster and toe blocks, suspension mounts, and more. The R31RS is also concourse-friendly, with the option to change to a shorter or longer wheelbase to fit the scale body of your choice.
